Research Platforms

Instruments for human subjects research.

Study infrastructure we build and use ourselves — data collection, measurement, and intervention delivery for behavioral health and clinical research. Several are the technical basis of federal small-business research proposals.

TicTech
A behavioral-health research platform combining scheduled and push ecological momentary assessment (EMA), high-fidelity video and audio capture, and just-in-time adaptive interventions — including video-based measurement of head and neck movement.

QualSched
A desktop application that schedules Qualtrics survey invitations for EMA studies — computing every invitation in each participant's own time zone and booking them in advance. Free and open source, and installs without administrator rights on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

A platform for enrolling study participants' wearable devices and ingesting their data through provider APIs — heart rate, sleep, and HRV consolidated into a researcher console with export, starting with Fitbit and extending to Garmin.

Built from inside the work.

OmniKog LLC is a Minnesota software company founded on a simple observation: the software researchers rely on is usually built by people who have never written a grant, recruited a participant, or waited on a summary statement. Every product here started as a problem we hit ourselves in an active research program — then got built properly, so other investigators would not have to solve it again.

We work at the intersection of clinical research, measurement, and applied machine learning, with particular attention to the parts that are easy to get wrong: participant privacy, data provenance, and the responsible use of AI in scientific work.
